Brasilotyphlus guarantanus Maciel, Mott, and Hoogmoed, 2009, Zootaxa, 2226: 21. Holotype: MPEG 22382, by original designation. Type locality: "Brazil, state of Mato Grosso, Municipality of Guarantã do Norte, S 9° 40′ 59.44″ W 54° 57′ 46.58″".

Distribution
Known onl from the type locality (Municipality of Guarantã do Norte) in nrothern Mato Grosso, and the Municipality of Parauapebas, in the southern part of state of Pará, Brazil.
