Seshachari's Caecilian (Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Gururaja, and Bhatta, 2009, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, Occas. Pap., 302: 127).
Known only from the type locality (Dorle Village, Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra) in the Western Ghats of southwestern India).
Gower, Giri, and Wilkinson, 2007, Herpetozoa, 19: 121-127, reported on an additional specimen from the type locality. Bhatta, Dinesh, Prashanth, Kulkarni, and Radhakrishnan, 2010, J. Threatened Taxa, 2: 1105-1108, provided a dot-map of the species.
