Gegeneophis pareshi Giri, Gower, Gaikwad, and Wilkinson, 2011, Zootaxa, 2815: 50. Holotype: BNHS 5264, by original designation. Type locality: "the village of Kuske near Cotigaon Wildlife Sanctuary, Canacona Taluka, South Goa District, Goa (15° 01′ N, 74° 12.5′ E, 140 m a.s.l.)".
