Distribution
Western Ghats of Goa and the border regions of Maharashtra and Karnataka, southwestern India.

Bhatta, Dinesh, Prashanth, and Kulkarni, 2007, Biosystematica, 1: 71-74, provided additional records and data beyond the original publication. Bhatta, Dinesh, Prashanth, Kulkarni, and Radhakrishnan, 2010, J. Threatened Taxa, 2: 1105-1108, provided a dot-map of the species. Govindappa, Bhatta, and Venkatachalaiah, 2012, Curr. Herpetol., 31: 14-20, reported on karyology.
