Uraeotyphlus menoni Annandale, 1913, Rec. Indian Mus., 9: 301. Holotype: ZSIC 16707, according to Taylor, 1968, Caecilians of the World: 700. Type locality: "from the southern part of the Malabar Zone, . . . Trichur in Cochin", Kerala, India.

English Names

Kerala Caecilian (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 26).

Menon's Caecilian (Das and Dutta, 1998, Hamadryad, 23: 67; Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Gururaja, and Bhatta, 2009, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, Occas. Pap., 302: 132).

Distribution

Cochin, Kottayam, and Malabar, Kerala, southwestern India.
