Ravichandran, 2004, Hamadryad, 28: 98-104, summarized range. Ahmed, Das, and Dutta, 2009, Amph. Rept. NE India: 53, provided a brief account. Kamei, Wilkinson, Gower, and Biju, 2009, Zootaxa, 2267: 26-42, did not map Assam as part of the range. Mathew and Sen, 2009, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, Occas. Pap., 309: 16-17, reported on additional specimens. Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 128-130, provided a brief characterization and photograph.
