Dendrophryniscus leucomystax Izecksohn, 1968, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 28: 357. Holotype: EI 4069, by original designation. Type locality: "Tinguá, município de Nova Iguaçu, Estado do Rio de Janeiro", Brazil.

Lowland Tree Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 44).

Distribution

Lowland coastal forests of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Comment

Related to Dendrophryniscus brevipollicatus according to the original publication. Woehl and Woehl, 2006, Herpetol. Rev., 37: 237, provided the record for Santa Catarina, Brazil.
