Cynops fudingensis Wu, Wang, Jiang, and Hanken, 2010, Zootaxa, 2346: 48. Holotype: CIB 97879, by original designation. Type locality: "near Mt. Taimu (27° 07´ N, 120° 10´ E; elevation 718 m), Fuding, Fujian Province, P. R. China".

Known only from the type locality (vicinity of Fuding, Fujian Province, China).
