Bufo zamdaensis Fei, Ye, and Huang In Fei, Ye, Huang, and Chen, 1999, Zool. Res., Kunming, 20: 296. Holotype: CIB 760085, by original designation. Type locality: "Zamda (Tzada) County (79° 80′ E, 31° 50′ N), Ngari (Ari) Prefecture, Xizang (Tibet), altitude 2900 m", China.

Distribution
Known only from the type localiy (Zamda, Ngari Prefecture, western Xizang, China), near the India border.

Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 2: 572-575, provided an account and spot map. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 242, provided a brief account (as Bufo zamdaensis) including photographs. Li, Zhao, and Dong, 2010, Amph. Rept. Tibet: 31-32, provided an account for Xizang, China, as Bufo zamdaensis.
