Plethodon asupak Mead, Clayton, Nauman, Olson, and Pfrender, 2005, Herpetologica, 61: 169. Holotype: UMMZ 262026, by original designation. Type locality: "Muck-a-Much Creek (41.774° N, 123.031° W) above Scott Bar, Siskiyou County, California at the confluence of the Scot and Klamath Rivers".

Distribution
Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Muck-a-Muck Creek above Scott Bar, Siskiyou County, California, USA).
