Thorius aureus Hanken and Wake, 1994, Copeia, 1994: 574. Holotype: MVZ 85966, by original designation. Type locality: "0.7 mi (rd.) E Cerro Pelón from point where road crosses top, Oaxaca, México".

Thorius aurens — Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 36. Incorrect subsequent spelling.

English Names

Golden Thorius (Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 36).

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality on the north slope of Cerro Pelón, a prominent massif of the Sierra Juarez in montane pine-oak-fir and upper cloud forest, 2475-3000 m elevation, Oaxaca, Mexico.
