Pseudoeurycea werleri Darling and Smith, 1954, Trans. Kansas Acad. Sci., 77: 180. Holotype: UIMNH 33897, by original designation. Type locality: "Volcán San Martín, Veracruz", Mexico, between 3000 and 4500 feet elevation.
