Lineatriton orchimelas Brodie, Mendelson, and Campbell, 2002, Herpetologica, 58: 200. Holotype: UMMZ 227953, by original designation. Type locality: "SE slope Volcán San Martín, Veracruz, Mexico, approximately 1100 m".
