Pseudoeurycea exspectata Stuart, 1954, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 67: 159. Holotype: UMMZ 107999, by original designation. Type locality: "Broadleaf forest about 3 km. west of the aldea of Miramundo (about 7 air-line kilometers southeast of Jalapa), Department of Jalapa, Guatemala. Elevation, 2, 525 m."

English Names

Jalpa False Brook Salamander (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 33).

Distribution

Kown only from the type locality, Miramundo in the highlands southwest of Jalapa, Departamento de Jalapa, Guatemala, 2530 m elevation.

Comment

Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 215-216, provided a brief account and map, and considered it to be in the Pseudoeurycea gadovii group.
