Pseudoeurycea conanti Bogert, 1967, Am. Mus. Novit., 2314: 21. Holotype: AMNH 13811, by original designation. Type locality: "'found under rubbish in a cafetal' at Pluma Hidalgo, Distrito de Pochutla, Oaxaca", Mexico.

English Names

Conant's False Brook Salamander (Liner, 1994, Herpetol. Circ., 23: 13; Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 33).

Conant's Salamander (Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 33).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Oaxaca, Mexico).

Comment

Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 218-219, provided a brief account, photograph, and map, and considered it to be in the Pseudoeurycea bellii group.
