Oedipus altamontanus Taylor, 1939 "1938", Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 25: 272. Holotype: EHT-HMS 12245, by original designation; now FMNH 100035 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 39. Type locality: "Lake Zempoala, Morelos, Mexico, . . . ; elevation 10,500 feet".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Lake Zempoala) and the west slope of Mount Popocatapetl, Morelos, southern Distrito Federal, and México, Mexico, ca. 3000 m elevation.
