English Names

Motagua Worm Salamander (original publication).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (near Aldea Doña María, Municipio de Gualán, Zacapa, Guatemala).

Comment

Likely confused with Oedipina taylori according to the original publication. Ariano and Dix, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 505, provided a record of Oedipina taylori that is likely assignable to the recently named Oedipina motaguae from the Province of Zacapa, Guatemala, and commented on the habitat.
