Type locality: "Parque Nacional Cerro Saslaya (along the trail from Campamento 'Las Guardiolas' to 'El Revenido'), 13° 42.8′ N, 85° 01.9′ W, 724 m above sea level (a.s.l.), Region Autónoma Atlántico Norte, Nicaragua".
