Oedipina (Oeditriton) kasios McCranie, Vieites, and Wake, 2008, Zootaxa, 1930: 11. Holotype: MVZ 232825, by original designation. Type locality: "near Quebrada Pinol, 15°07′N, 86°44′W, Parque Nacional La Muralla, 1190 m a.s.l., Dept. Olancho, Honduras".

Muralla Worm Salamander(original publication).

Distribution

Known from the the Parque Nacional La Muralla in northwestern Olancho, Honduras, in cloudforest at 950-1750 m elevation, and from 1920 m elevation, in the Sierra de Agalta in central Olancho, about 80 km to the southeast of the type locality, and in the Parque Nacional Montaña de Yoro in northern Depto. Francisco Morazán, Honduras.

Comment

The sister taxon of Oedipina quadra according to the original publication. McCranie, Gutsche, Köhler, and Valdés-Orellana, 2011, Salamandra, 47: 169-172, provided a range extension to the Sierra de Agalta in central Olancho, Honduras. Townsend, Luque-Montes, and Wilson, 2011, Salamandra, 47: 50-54, provided a range extension to Parque Nacional Montaña de Yoro and discussed the range.
