Oedipina gracilis Taylor, 1952, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 34: 773. Holotype: KU 29969, by original designation. Type locality: "Los Diamantes, one mile south of Guápiles, [Cantón de Pococí, Provincia de Limón,] Costa Rica". Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 90, commented on the type locality.

Humid Atlantic lowlands of Costa Rica and extreme northwestern Panama, 3-710 m elevation.

Removed from the synonymy of Oedipina uniformis by Good and Wake, 1997, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 45: 1185-1208, where it had been placed by Brame, 1968, J. Herpetol., 2: 34.
