Oedipina alfaroi Dunn, 1921, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 34: 144. Holotype: MCZ 6938, by original designation. Type locality: "Zent, [Cantón de Matina, Limón Province,] Costa Rica". Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 112, commented on the type locality.
