Chiropterotriton cuchumatanus Lynch and Wake, 1975, Contrib. Sci. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 265: 6. Holotype: MVZ 113002, by original designation. Type locality: "forest along highway 9N, 8. 5 km (by road) SW San Juan Ixcoy, Huehuetenago, Guatemala, at about 2860 m elev. "
