Comment

See account by McCranie and Wilson, 2002, Amph. Honduras: 135-140, who suggest that Cryptotriton wakei is conspecific with Cryptotriton nasalis. McCranie, 2006, Cat. Am. Amph. Rept., 803: 1-4, provided a review and (p. 3) doubted the distinctiveness of Cryptotriton wakei. Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 279, provided a brief account and map. McCranie, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 36, summarized the departmental distribution in Honduras. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 570 and
