Oedipus mosaueri Woodall, 1941, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 444: 1. Holotype: UMMZ 88839, by original designation. Type locality: "Durango, Hidalgo, Mexico, at 7200 feet [elevation]".

Chiropterotriton mosauri — Peters, 1952, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 539: 7. Incorrect subsequent spelling.

Distribution

Caves in the vicinity of Durango (town), northern Hidalgo, Mexico, 2160 m elevation.

Comment

Darda, 1994, Herpetologica, 50: 164-187, noted that this form may be conspecific with Chiropterotriton multidentatus. Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 228, provided a brief account and map.
