Chiropterotriton magnipes Rabb, 1965, Breviora, 235: 1. Holotype: MCZ 30607, by original designation. Type locality: "Cueva de Potrerillos, about 2 km WSW of Ahuacatlán, which is approximately 8 km SW of Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico".
