Chiropterotriton chondrostega cracens Rabb, 1958, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 587: 28. Holotype: UMMZ 114069, by original designation. Type locality: "'Agua Linda', elevation 5950 feet, about 7 miles WNW of Gómez Farías, Tamaulipas, México".
