Bolitoglossa phalarosoma Wake and Brame, 1962, Contrib. Sci. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 49: 1. Holotype: BMNH 97.11.12. 22, by original designation. Type locality: "Medellín, Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia . . . . The altitude of Medellín is 5,045 feet (1538 m)".
