Bolitoglossa lozanoi Acosta-Galvis and Restrepo, 2001, Caldasia, 23: 468. Holotype: ICN 43769, by original designation. Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento de Caldas, Municipio La victoria, Vereda Corinto; sitio Charco Azul, margen derecha del Rio la Miel, 500 m".

Eastern slope of the Cordillera Central in the municipalities of La Victoria and Norcasia, in the valley of the river La Miela, about 500 m elevation, Caldas, Colombia.
