Bolitoglossa insularis Sunyer, Lotzkat, Hertz, Wake, Aléman, Robleto, and Köhler, 2008, Senckenb. Biol., 88: 323. Holotype: SMF 87175, by original designation. Type locality: "Volcán Maderas (11° 27′ 30″ N, 85° 30′ 56″ W), 800 m elevation, Isla de Ometepe, Departamento de Rivas, Nicaragua".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality: premontane slopes of the Isla de Ometepe, in Lago Nicaragua, Departamento de Rivas, Nicaragua, 800 m elevation.

Comment

Likely a member of the subgenus Bolitoglossa according to the original publication.
