Oedipus helmrichi Schmidt, 1936, Field Mus. Nat. Hist. Publ., Zool. Ser., 20: 152. Holotype: FMNH 21063, by original designation. Type locality: "mountains above Finca Samac, west of Coban, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, at 5000 feet altitude".
