Bolitoglossa (Eladinea) copia Wake, Hanken, and Ibáñez, 2005, Copeia, 2005: 223. Holotype: MVUP 1766, by original designation. Type locality: "Panamá, Provincia de Coclé, Parque Nacional General de División Omar Torrijos Herrera, from near the summit of Cerro Peña Blanca, approximate UTM coordinates 0541522 0957221, 1315 m elevation".

English Names

El Cope Giant Salamander (original publication).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Cordillera Central of central Panama, near the continental divide, elevation 1315 m.

Comment

In the Bolitoglossa (Eladinea) schizodactyla group according to the original publication. Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 252, provided a brief account and map.
