Distribution

Southern boundary of Yosemite National Park south nearly to the Kern River on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada and Greenhorn Mountains, California, USA.

Comment

Confused with Batrachoseps relictus and Batrachoseps nigriventris prior to description. In the Batrachoseps (Batrachoseps) nigriventris group of Jockusch, Wake, and Yanev, 1998, Contrib. Sci. Nat.
