Pseudohynobius kuankuoshuiensis Xu and Zeng In Xu, Zeng, and Fu, 2007, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 32: 230. Holotype: ZMC 7504023, by original designation. Type locality: "Kuankuoshui, Suiyang County, Guizhou, China . . . . 28° 12′ N, 107° 10′ E".

Comment
The sister species of Pseudohynobius shuichengensis according to the original publication. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 3: 1608-1611, provided an account , figures, and range map. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 58, provided a brief account including photographs of specimens and habitat.
