Hynobius yangi Kim, Min, and Matsui, 2003, Zool. Sci., Tokyo, 20: 1163. Holotype: KUHE 29842, by original designation. Type locality: "Hyom-ri, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan-shi (129° 17′ E, 35° 19′ N, alt. 45 m)", Korea.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Known only from the immediate region of the type locality in southeastern South Korea.

Comment

In the Hynobius nebulosus species group, most similar to Hynobius leechii according to the original publication. See brief account by Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 46.
