Hynobius fuca Lai and Lue, 2008, Herpetologica, 64: 75. Holotype: NTNUB 201742, by original designation. Type locality: "Guanwu . . ., Hsinchu Co., ... 24° 30′ N, 121° 05′ E. Elevation 1522 m.", Taiwan, China.

English Names

Taiwan Lesser Salamander (original publication).

Distribution

Central and northern parts of the Syueshan Mountain ranges of Taiwan at elevations of 1300-1720 m.

Comment

The sister taxon of ((Hynobius sonani + Hynobius arisanensis ) + Hynobius glacialis) + Hynobius formosanus according to the original publication.
