Ambystoma granulosum Taylor, 1944, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 30: 57. Holotype: EHT-HMS 29805, by original designation; now FMNH 100106 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 35. Type locality: "km. 74, about 12 miles northwest of Toluca, México, México".

Distribution

Immediate region the northwestern periphery of Toluca, state of México, Mexico, around 3000 m elevation.
