Phys. Hist., 2: pl. 12, fig. 7. Type locality: Not stated; Ceylon [= Sri Lanka] by implication of the name, but this is almost certainly incorrect. Regarded as part of his composite Lacerta lacustris by Gmelin, 1789, Syst. Nat., Ed. 13, 1(3): 1065.
