Theloderma stellatum Taylor, 1962, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 43: 514. Holotype: EHT 35441, by original designation; now FMNH 172249 according to Inger in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 550. Type locality: "Khao Sebab (mt.), circa 18 km NE of Chanthaburi (town) near 'the waterfall,' Chanthaburi Prov., Thailand".

Distribution
Chanthaburi Province, eastern Thailand to central and southern Vietnam (Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Kien Giang, and Dac Lac provinces, 300-1500 m), southern Laos and Cambodia, 50-1200 m elevation.
