Philautus laevis Smith, 1924, Proc. Zool. Soc. London, 1924: 230. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.5.94 (formerly 1924.1.31.1; formerly M. Smith 2439, by original designation) according to Bossuyt and Dubois, 2001, Zeylanica, 6: 43. Type locality: "Sui Kat, alt. 1000 m., Langbian Plateau, S. Annam", Vietnam.
