Rhacophorus corticalis Boulenger, 1903, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, 12: 188. Syntypes: BMNH (4 specimens), by original designation. Type locality: "Man-son Mountains, Tonkin, altitude 3000-4000 feet", (= Mao-son, Man Son, or Mau Son Mountains), Lang Song Province), northern Vietnam.

Distribution
Provinces of Vinh Phu, Back Tahi, Cao Bang, and Lang Son provinces, northern Vietnam, 700-1500 m elevation; presumably in adjacent Laos; possibly in Hainan, China (see comment).
