Rhacophorus yaoshanensis Liu and Hu, 1962, Acta Zool. Sinica, 14 (Supplement): 96, 104. Holotype: CIB 620016, by original designation. Type locality: "Ling-ban, Yaoshan, Kwangsi [= Guangxi]", China.

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Yaoshan County, Guangxi Province, China, 800-1500 m elevation).

Comment

In the Rhacophorus (Rhacophorus) chenfui group of Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 77. Related to "Rhacophorus chenfui" according to the original publication. Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 288-291, provided a brief account (under Rhacophorus yaoshanensis), map, and figure. Zhang and Wen, 2000, Amph. Guangxi: 132, provided an account for Guangxi. See illustration, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Polypedates yaoshanensis) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 537. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 2: 862-864, provided an account, spot map, and considered this species a member of their Rhacophorus dugritei group. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 476, provided a brief account for China including photographs of specimens. Li, Chen, Li, Lv, and Wang, 2011, Asian Herpetol. Res., Ser. 2, 2: 134, provided photographs of the holotype.
