Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Yaoshan County, Guangxi Province, China, 800-1500 m elevation).

In the Rhacophorus (Rhacophorus) chenfui group of Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 77. Related to "Rhacophorus chenfui" according to the original publication. Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 288-291, provided a brief account (under Rhacophorus yaoshanensis), map, and figure. Zhang and Wen, 2000, Amph. Guangxi: 132, provided an account for Guangxi.
