Rhacophorus verrucopus Huang, 1983, Acta Herpetol. Sinica, Chengdu, N.S.,, 2 (4): 63-65. Holotype: NWIPB 770689, by original designation. Type locality: "Beibeng, Medo [=Medog] Xian [= County], altitude 850 m." Xizang [=Tibet] Autonomous Region, China.

English Names

Beibeng Flying Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 114; Li, Zhao, and Dong, 2010, Amph. Rept. Tibet: 65).

Serrate-toed Treefrog (Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 272).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in eastern Xizang [= Tibet], China.

Comment

In the Rhacophorus (Rhacophorus) appendiculatus group of Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 77; see comment under Rhacophorus for dissenting opinion regarding the recognition of this group. Compared with Rhacophorus chaseni in the original diagnosis. Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 272-273, provided a brief account, figure, and map. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 2: 786-789, provided an account, illustration of the holotype, and a spot map. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 475, provided a brief account. Li, Zhao, and Dong, 2010, Amph. Rept. Tibet: 65-66, provided an account for Xizang, China.
