Considered to be a member of Polypedates by Zhao and Adler, 1993, Herpetol. China: 157, and Orlov, Lathrop, Murphy, and Ho, 2001, Russ. J. Herpetol., 8: 29. Related to Rhacophorus schlegelii, according to the original publication. M. Matsui in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 546, this to refer to Rhacophorus javanus. Yang, 1991, Amph.
