An objective synonym of Polypedates dugritei through the shared syntypes.

In the Rhacophorus (Rhacophorus) dugritei group of Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 77; see comment under Rhacophorus for dissenting opinion regarding the recognition of this group. See accounts by Liu, 1950, Fieldiana, Zool. Mem., 2: 370-373; Yang, 1991, Amph. Fauna of Yunnan: 201-203; and Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 286-287. Orlov, Lathrop, Murphy, and Ho, 2001, Russ. J. Herpetol., 8: 20-25, provided an account for the Vietnam population and noted that Polypedates puerensis and Polypedates zhaojuensis were possibly conspecific (see comment under Rhacophorus hui).
