Rhacophorus duboisi Ohler, Marquis, Swan, and Grosjean, 2000, Herpetozoa, 13: 81. Holotype: MNHNP 1999.5971, by original designation. Type locality: "Fan Si Pan mountain range (22° 16′ N, 103° 50′ E; 1900 m), near Sa Pa, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam . . . . in a pond on the edge of montane forest".

Polypedates pingbianensis Kou, Hu, and Gao, 2001, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 26: 229, 233. Holotype: CIB 654003, by original designation. Type locality: "nature conservation region of Pingbian County, Yunnan Province (22° 9′ N, 103° 6′ E); alt. 1950 m", China. Synonymy with Rhacophorus omeimontis by Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 2: 812. Synonymy with Rhacophorus duboisi by Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 95; and Li, Li, Murphy, Rao, and Zhang, 2012, Zool. Scripta, 41: xxx.

Type locality: Huang Lian Shan, Luchan, Yunnan, China, 1780 m elevation. Synonymy by Li, Li, Murphy, Rao, and Zhang, 2012, Zool. Scripta, 41: xxx.

English Names

Dubois' Whipping Frog (Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 37).

Distribution

Northern parts of the Hoang Lien Mountains in Lao Cai Province, Vietnam and continuous in the Huang Lian (Chinese name of the same mountains) in Luchan and Pingbian counties, Yunnan, China.

Comment

closely related to the Rhacophorus dugritei group according to the original publication. SSee comment under Rhacophorus omeimontis. Orlov, Nguyen, and Ho, 2008, Russ. J. Herpetol., 15: 67-84, provided a photograph and a key to differentiate this species from others in Vietnam.
