Comment

Orlov, Lathrop, Murphy, and Ho, 2001, Russ. J. Herpetol., 8: 25-29, provided an account and noted that it was possibly conspecific with Polypedates nigropunctatus, in which case the name Polypedates dorsoviridis would have priority. Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 95, commented on the Vietnamese distribution. Orlov, Nguyen, and Ho, 2008, Russ. J. Herpetol., 15: 67-84, provided a photograph and a key to differentiate this species from others in Vietnam. Zhang, Jiang, and Hou, 2011, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 36: 986-989, provided a record for Yunnan, China, and commented on the distinctiveness of this species from Rhacophorus nigropunctatus. Li, Li, Murphy, Rao, and Zhang, 2012, Zool. Scripta, 41: xxx, also discussed the confused state of understanding of Rhacophorus dorsoviridis and Rhacophorus nigropunctatus.
