Type locality: "Chu Yang Sin National Park, Krong Bong District, south part of Dac Lac Province, central Vietnam, 12° 25′ 28.3″ N 108° 21′ 04.1″ E, altitude 1600 m a.s.l. (primary forest on mountain slope)". Synonymy by Orlov, Poyarkov, Vassilieva, Ananjeva, Nguyen, Sang, and Geissler, 2012, Russ. J. Herpetol., 19: 23.

Distribution
Known with certainty only from 1) Chu Yang Sin National Park, Krong Bong and Lak districts, Dak Lak Province; 2) Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park, Lam Dong; 3) type locality (Langian Peaks), Vietnam.
Comment
In the Rhacophorus calcaneus group of Orlov, Poyarkov, Vassilieva, Ananjeva, Nguyen, Sang, and Geissler, 2012, Russ. J. Herpetol., 19: 23-64, who noted extensive confusion with Rhacophorus robertingeri in the literature and who discussed previous confusion in the range.
