(1,524 metres)", Meghalaya, India.

Distribution
Khasi Hills in the region of Shillong, Meghalaya, northeastern India, below 1400 m elevation; also reported for Mizoram, northeastern India.
Comment
Bossuyt and Dubois, 2001, Zeylanica, 6: 54, suggested that Philautus shillongensis might be a junior synonym of Ixalus annandalii. Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 167, provided a brief account. Mathew, Sen, and Meetei, 2005, Cobra, Chennai, 61: 27, provided color pattern notes from life. Mathew and Sen, 2003, Cobra, Chennai, 53: 9-12, provided an account.
