Raorchestes kakachi Seshadri, Gururaja, and Aravind, 2012, Zootaxa, 3410: 21. Holotype: ZSI/WGRC V/A 857, by original designation. Type locality: "on shrubs at 2 m height from Kakachi, near a stream . . . (8.549167° N latitude and 77. 385833° E longitude, 1285 m amsl)", Tamil Nadu, India. .″

Distribution
Known only from high elevations in the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and adjacent Kakahi Tea Estate in Tamil Nadu and presumably into adjacent Kerala, Western Ghats, southern India.
