Philautus griet Bossuyt, 2002, J. Herpetol., 36: 657. Holotype: IRSNB 1918, by original designation; corrected to IRSNB 1919, by Biju and Bossuyt, 2009, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 155: 416. Type locality: "Munnar (10° 05′ N, 77° 03′ E), altitude approximately 1500 m, Kerala, Western Ghats, India".

Raorchestes griet — Biju, Shouche, Dubois, Dutta, and Bossuyt, 2010, Curr. Sci., Bangalore, 98: 1120. By implication.

English Names

Griet Bush Frog (Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Gururaja, and Bhatta, 2009, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, Occas. Pap., 302: 101).

Distribution

Western Ghats south of Palghat Gap in Kerala (Devikulam, Munnar, and Vagaman) and Tamil Nadu (Valparai), India.

The sister taxon of Pseudophilautus charius (as Philautus) according to the original publication. See comment under Pseudophilautus ochlandrae.
